Free at last free at last. An ignorant conservative notion that "we the people are free". If someone is charged with a crime, all supposed rights are abolished. Including that of privacy. Criminal records are now public domain. The national conception is "if one crosses a line you will be watched  and scrutinized for the rest of your life". This is a wonderful example of how "time served" is actually "a life term".

Not to mention the horrors these accused likely faced during their time in prison. Much of which is common knowledge. Every citizen in this nation consciously advocates rape amongst prisoners as a part of their punishment. Regardless of the extent of the crime. Capital punishment is simply that of a society murdering an individual for murder. Yet, we condemn murder as a crime that is morally wrong. Ironically, capital punishment is very popular amongst christian conservatives. I never could stomach the moronic distinction between the words "murder" and "kill".

This national perception perpetuates crime, creates life long criminals and rationalizes it as just. Criminal offenders are only presented one incentive, to continue on the same path. Disclosure such as this will prevent people that actually need to work from working. The alternatives are blatantly obvious.
