My Hypocrisy, is My Solution To Gun Violence

Logically, if there were no legal guns available. It would be more difficult to shoot them. The primary problem is the attention these events are given in the media. I'm actually a part of the problem in this blog post.

Having the attention of the Mass Media, the President of the United States, and other public figures. Just might induce a lonely, alienated, angry person, on the brink of suicide, to kill. To go out in a blaze of righteous glory. Or just a blaze of glory. Every time these shootings occur the media goes wild. Similar to a war. They'll drive the subject matter into the ground with experts on various subjects. Blabbering in meaningless circles and debates. The people receiving this bombardment of propaganda act as gawkers driving by a tragic car accident. It all just holds up traffic and sets the stage for the next atrocity. So, the solution in its infancy, would be kindness and social responsibility. However, the hype is the cause of this mass shooting epidemic. A lot of money is made on the over-reporting of tragedy. Responsible journalism, politics, activism and readership is the solution (i.e. KILL THE HYPE). This is about as difficult to achieve as taking guns away from Americans. But, I'm optimistic. We did go to the moon...
