Hilarious! First, honoring Fairey's pronounced 'masterpiece' of which he was paid a healthy sum. Then arrested for illegal tagging. High art, corporate advertising, or blithe? Which is which, Richie Rich?? Aside, from this silly perplexity, this is great PR for both Detroit and the superfluity of the Obey branding. As well as renewing Fairey's street skate credibility and boosting his company's product sales. Get it while its hot or not. Just Obey, obey obey. This is the joke of high art and why I consider punk rock to be the ravished victim of corporate, pop-capitalism.
